International knowledge spillovers

Abstract How important is foreign knowledge for domestic innovation outcomes? this relation shaped by globalization and the attendant intensification of international competition? Our empirical approach extends previous literature analyzing a large panel comprising industries in both advanced emerging economies over past two decades. We find that barriers to diffusion have fallen significantly economies. For all countries, especially economies, inflows growing quantitatively impact on innovation. Controlling amount R&D, we evidence increases competitive pressure at industry level had positive effect outcomes.
